before gas prices increased. However, may older individuals also enjoy driving and showing off their cars. Some people like to cruise in trendy areas in the big city while others may enjoy a more peaceful outing with lots of scenery. Then we have the big organized cruise meetings like in Chicago. Here are a few hot spots to cruise in the U.S

Everyone has heard of Pacific Coast Highway; it’s a wonderful road to drive. This driving road isn’t just rich with history; it is also filled with fun things to do if you plan on taking a longer road trip. Notable attractions include the Hearst castle and plenty of vineyards and wineries along the way. This road travels through Los Angeles County To L.A all the way to the Bay Area. PCH can also be a dangerous road due to its many twists and turns. Mudslides can occur during rainy seasons resulting in traffic delays. It’s important to exercise caution and not to speed when driving on this road because people have accidentally driven off the cliffs before.

If you are into classic cars and lowriders then you will want to check out Whittier Boulevard in East Los Angeles. This stretch of road was a known cruising spot back in the 1950’s. Lowriders are classic cars that have been ‘lowered’ and as a result they sit closer to the ground. Popular vehicles for lowriding include the Chevy Impala, Buick Regal and older Cadillac models.

Another very busy area that attracts a lot of attention from locals and visitors alike is the famed Sunset strip in Los Angeles. It’s common to find yourself parked right next to an Aston Martin or Ferrari at a red light. If you get tired from your drive you can dine at one of the restaurants along the street or party it up at the trendy nightclubs if you can get through the door.

If you are in the Midwest, a great road to check out is Evergreen Memorial Road. This long stretch is also known as Minnesota State Highway 23 and is over three hundred miles long. It also travels through Banning State Park which offers kayaking.

Chicago is well known for its organized cruise night events. During these nights drivers show up with their cars all polished and gleamed up ready to impress. You’ll see a large selection of cars including Japanese, domestic and classic cars. The city of Joliet even features Halloween themed cruise nights where drivers can win prizes for the best decorated car trunk.

No matter what kind of car you drive, cruising is a great way to experience your car while taking in some wonderful sights at the same time. If you like excitement you can drive down Sunset Blvd while a road like Evergreen Memorial Road offers a more soothing and relaxing drive. No matter where you live, there is bound to be a sweet road to cruise!
